Brielle and Lainey had their first dance competition of the year. It was on Saturday down at Snow Canyon High School in St George. They both did one dance. Brielle's class dances to the song "Prayer of the Children". It's a lyrical dance and kind of slow but they do quite well with it. Lainey's class dances it "Zippity Do Dah". It's way cute and they nailed it on Saturday. They both got a medal which they were proud to show off. Brielle and Lainey both enjoy dancing but Lainey says she's not doing it next year. We'll see. She says she wants a guitar so maybe she'll be taking lessons in that.
They both had their first soccer games on Saturday but we had to miss them due to the dance competition so they'll have their official first soccer games on Wednesday. Brielle's team is the Red Hot Chili Pepper and Lainey's team is the Fireballs. Both of our girls love soccer which I am glad for. Brielle has a mean left leg and can run like you can't believe. Lainey is kind of reserved in soccer but at last Tuesday at her practice, Travis said she was running around everyone else and kicking some pretty awesome goals.
