4th of July Times 2

We had the chance to celebrate the 4th of July twice this year. Since July 4 landed on a Sunday, Circleville celebrated on Saturday, July 3. We went over that morning and watched the parade. The cool thing about the parade over there is that the parade goes down the street and then comes back again. They also throw out A LOT of candy. The kids had fun getting that. After the parade, we usually go to the Patriotic Program at the elementary school, but this year we decided just to head to the playground and let the kids play for awhile. When we were done there, we went Grandma Cynthia's house and got ready for a BBQ. The kids had fun because they got to play with their cousins. We ate lunch and then just hung out and talked. Later that afternoon, Travis and I headed to park in Junction for a 20 year baseball reunion for Travis. Only about 6 players showed up, some with their families but it was fun for Travis to talk and reminisce about the good old days. When that was over we went back to Circleville, go the kids and came back home to Cedar.

On Monday, July 5, Cedar had their celebration. We sat up at Steve's Shell Station. It was fun and the kids got some candy and other stuff. After the parade we went down to the park and the kids did a few activities. Later that evening, we headed up to the Spring/Prisbrey home to have a BBQ. The kids had fun playing. When it started to get dark, we headed back to our house for fireworks. The Spring/Prisbrey's came to our house and we did fireworks in front of our house and then we were also able to see the city fireworks from our house too!!
