Lainey's Field Trip

Lainey's class went on a field trip on May 20. In the morning, they went to Frontier Homestead State Park. In the afternoon they headed to Park Discovery. Lainey's teacher, Mrs Winslow, asked me and another mom to do some games with the kids. After the kids ate lunch and played for awhile, we started the games. There were four 2nd grade classes there so it was kind of crazy, but fun. For my game, the kids were split into groups and each kid was given a spoon. The object of the game was for each team to get all of the Smarties out of their bowl, by passing the Smarties from spoon to spoon, to the bowl at the end of their line. Some kids got it, some didn't, but they still seemed like they had a lot of fun. After the games, the kids got popsicles and then it was time to head back to school.
