Fiddlers Elementary Spring Arts Night

On May 24, our school had its Spring Arts Night. It's a night where each grade performs two songs, the school choir sings and the students art work is displayed. There is food and bounce houses. It's a fun night. This year Brielle and Lainey were able to perform with the choir and with their classes. Our PTA had each student draw their self portrait at the first of the year and then t-shirts were made for each class with each student's self portrait. Each grade had a different color. The students were encouraged to wear those t-shirts to the Arts Night, which Brielle and Lainey did. Their first performance was with the school choir. The program was about helping others and taking care of the earth. The choir sang about 6 songs. They did really good. After the choir we had a few minutes until Lainey's grade sang so we headed to the lunchroom to have Pizza Factory pizza and pop. After we got done eating, we walked down to Brielle's classroom to look at her art work. Her teacher must've forgotten to unlock her classroom so we couldn't get in to look at her art work that night (she brought it home the next day). We were able to stop by Lainey's classroom and pick up her art work. By that time it was time for the 2nd grade to perform. Lainey had been telling me for a few weeks that she had a part in the 2nd grade performance. I didn't realize that her part required her to sing all by herself in front of everyone. She did AMAZING. The 2nd grade performance was really cute. After Lainey's performance, Brielle's grade performed. They sang two songs, one being a song about Utah. They sang so AWESOME, that at the end of that song there was hardly a dry eye in the room. Brielle was right on the front row and she new every word to each song. She did really well. After the 4th grade performance, we headed down to the bounce houses but had to stop and get some Maggie Moo's ice cream (which they had at the school that night). Travis took Cooper home and the girls stayed with me at the school because I had to count money at the end of the night. It was really fun night. Fiddlers Elementary Mustangs Rule!!!!!

I wish everyone could hear this group of kids singing the Utah song. They sounded AMAZING. Even the principal was crying.
